Privacy Policy

Last updated 15 September 2026

Freebay is a warehouse listing tool. Stores capture product photos, draft eBay listing copy, look up comparable listings, and — if the store connects a selling account — publish to that store’s own eBay (or Shopify) account. This policy describes what Freebay collects and how it is used.

Who this covers

It covers people who create a Freebay workspace, join a store as staff, or connect a marketplace account to that store. It does not cover eBay.com shoppers. Freebay does not run checkout on eBay on behalf of buyers.

Account and store data

When you sign up or are invited we store:

  • Name, email, password hash, and role in a store
  • Store, warehouse, and team settings you enter
  • Session cookies so you stay signed in

Product photos and listings

Photos, titles, SKUs, shelf codes, prices, and notes you save are stored so your team can list and review items. Images are sent to our vision provider only to draft listing copy and identity from the photos. We do not sell that content.

eBay

Keyword catalog and price-range lookups use eBay public search with Freebay’s application credentials. Those calls return listing titles, categories, and prices so staff can price an item. Freebay does not keep eBay buyer identities from that search.

If a store owner connects eBay, they authorize Freebay to act on that eBay account (for example to create a listing). We store access and refresh tokens for that store only, to publish and update that store’s listings. We do not use connected-account tokens to shop, message buyers, or share your eBay login. You can disconnect eBay in Channels. If eBay sends a marketplace account deletion notice, we delete or anonymize related eBay tokens and listing identifiers for that account.

Shopify

If you connect Shopify, we store the shop domain and tokens needed to create or update products in that shop. The same disconnect and deletion rules apply.

Cookies

We use a session cookie required to sign in. We do not use advertising cookies.

Sharing

We use hosting, database, email, and AI providers as processors to run Freebay. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose data if required by law.

Retention

Account, photo, and listing data stay until the store deletes them or closes the workspace. Marketplace tokens are removed when you disconnect or when a deletion notice requires it.

Your choices

Store admins can edit or delete products and disconnect channels in the app. To delete a workspace or ask about stored data, contact the store owner who invited you, or email the address you used to register.

Changes

If this policy changes in a material way we will update this page and the date above. Continued use of Freebay after an update means you accept the revised policy.
